1. Who we are
CRENO ("CRENO", "we", "us", "our") provides a WhatsApp-based booking automation service and dashboard for turf and sports facility owners ("Owners"), based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. This policy explains how we handle information collected through our website (creno.in or the domain this site is hosted on), our WhatsApp Business number(s), and our owner dashboard.
2. Information we collect
We collect different information depending on how you interact with us:
- Website visitors: if you submit our contact form, we collect your name, business/turf name, phone number, email address (if provided), city, and any message you enter.
- Turf owners (our clients): business and contact details, pricing information, court/venue details, payment account details (e.g. PhonePe/Razorpay merchant credentials) needed to generate payment links on the owner's behalf, and dashboard login information.
- End customers who book through WhatsApp: when a player or customer messages an Owner's CRENO-powered WhatsApp number, we process their WhatsApp phone number, name (as shared or set in WhatsApp), messages sent to the booking assistant, booking details (date, time, court, price), and payment/booking status. This data is collected and processed on behalf of the relevant Owner, who is the customer-facing business.
- Automatically collected data: our website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics beyond what is needed to operate basic hosting and form functionality provided by our hosting provider (Netlify).
3. How we use information
- To operate the WhatsApp booking assistant — checking availability, quoting prices, generating payment links, confirming, rescheduling or cancelling bookings.
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and service-related messages via WhatsApp.
- To respond to inquiries submitted through our website contact form.
- To provide Owners with a dashboard view of their own bookings and customers.
- To maintain, secure, and improve our service, and to troubleshoot issues.
- To meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not use end-customer WhatsApp data for advertising.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform: messages sent and received through the WhatsApp booking assistant are processed via Meta's WhatsApp Business API, subject to Meta's own data policies.
- Payment processors (e.g. PhonePe, Razorpay): payment links are generated against the Owner's own merchant account. Payment details are handled by these processors directly — CRENO does not store full payment card details and does not hold customer funds.
- Database and hosting infrastructure (e.g. Supabase, Netlify): used to store booking data securely and host our website.
- The relevant turf Owner: booking and contact data collected via WhatsApp is made visible to the Owner whose turf the booking was made for, since they are the business providing the service.
We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data retention
We retain booking and contact data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal/accounting requirements. If an Owner discontinues use of CRENO, we will delete or anonymize their data, including associated customer booking data, upon request, except where we are required to retain it by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
Our service is intended for use by adults booking sports facilities and business owners operating those facilities. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
